Conservatives retain control of Surrey councils

The Conservatives have kept control of four councils in Surrey.
Results from Mole Valley and Woking were declared on Friday evening, after Tandridge and Runnymede were announced early on Friday morning.
Labour won a by-election at Guildford Borough Council, with James Walsh gaining a seat in the Stoke ward from the Conservatives.
The Tories lost two seats in Tandridge, one of which was the council leader Gordon Keymer.
He was beaten by Jackie Wren, who represented Oxted and Limpsfield Residents Group, campaigning against a local housing plan.
In Runnymede, no seats changed hands, with the Conservatives retaining their majority of 30.
In Woking, which had boundary changes, the Tories lost five seats and their majority was cut to four. Independents won three seats in the Byfleet and West Byfleet ward.
Conservatives retained control of Mole Valley District Council, losing Fetcham West to the Liberal Democrats but gaining Bookham South from them. But the Tory majority of five has since fallen to four, after a councillor in Leatherhead North stood down.
Counts for Elmbridge and Reigate and Banstead were held on Saturday.
