Man on fire in Witney garden flown to hospital

A man found on fire in a garden in Oxfordshire is being treated for serious burn injuries.

Emergency services including an air ambulance were called to the home in Farmers Close, Witney, at about 17:00 BST on Wednesday.

The man, who was in his fifties, was flown to Stoke Mandeville Hospital, where he is being treated at the burns unit.

How the man came to be on fire was not clear.

Thames Valley Police officers remain in the area and a spokesman said anyone with concerns can speak to them.
