MountainFilm on Tour turns 15

MountainFilm on Tour takes place Nov. 6 and 7 at WaterColor Inn & Resort.

SANTA ROSA BEACH — Entering its 15th year, the Telluride Mountain-Film on Tour returns to WaterColor Inn & Resort’s Marina Park Amphitheater — an outdoor theater on the St. Joe Club & ResortsSM property —Nov 6 and 7, showcasing a selection of films from the International Film Festival and furthering the MountainFilm mission of exploring cultures, preserving environments, and promoting adventure.

Delta Air Lines and Visit South Walton are sponsoring the annual outdoor festival, which will once again incorporate Kidz Kino, a mini-festival for attendees ages 6-12 that features kid-friendly films at the WaterColor BoatHouse.

Film selections cover a wide range of topics, from the lighthearted urban sport showcased in “Drainage Ditch Kayak,” to the emotional account of a community working together to rebuild their Colorado town after torrential flooding in “Knee Deep.”

“Mountainfilm has been a vital component of our events calendar for the past 15 years. The support of this community and film enthusiasts alike make the festival stronger each year,” says Andrew Czarnecki, Managing Di-rector of Resort Operations for St. Joe Club & Resorts SM. “We look for-ward to continuing this tradition on our beautiful WaterColor Inn property for many more years to come.”

Gates open at 6 p.m. with films beginning at 7 p.m. Tickets are available online at mountainfilmfl.com for $30 per day or $50 for a two-day week-end pass. Tickets purchased at the gate are $35 per day or $60 for a two-day weekend pass, based on availability.

Kidz Kino day passes may be purchased for $30 in advance or $35 at the door; parents must be present to sign their children in and out of the Boat-House. For more information on this new offering, interested parties may call 534-5975.

Food, beer, and wine will also be available for purchase at the festival.
