Rent-A-Center Inc. (RCII) Plunged To A New Low On Weak Forecast

Rent-A-Center Inc. (RCII) reported third quarter EPS of $0.47 after the bell Monday, down from $0.50 in the prior year period. Analysts expected EPS of $0.45. The company expects to report fourth quarter EPS of $0.52 to $0.62 and between $2.00 and $2.10 for the full year. The consensus estimates are for EPS of $0.68 and $2.15.

Rent-A-Center gapped open dramatically lower Tuesday and declined for much of the trading day. The stock closed down by 7.72 at $18.06 on the highest volume of the year. Rent-A-Center plunged to a new low for the year.
