Following the disappearance of the gas station at 17th street and Alton Road under a pile of rubble and construction stuff, the Chevron station at 1800 Alton Road has now been sold according to The Real Deal and will be redevelopment into prime retail on the edge of Sunset Harbour. Local activists upset about congestion may soon have another peeve on their hands when they find they have nowhere to get gas, but it's all part of evolving towards a more pedestrian-oriented, mass-transit-friendly future for Miami and Miami Beach. We just need the transit.
