Outback Steakhouse, 5826 S.W. 21st, will close after this weekend, managing partner Dave Curtis confirmed. He declined to discuss the reason for the closing, directing questions to the restaurant’s corporate office.

Elizabeth Watts, spokeswoman for Bloomin’ Brands, which owns Outback, said some employees may be able to transfer to other restaurants. Those who don’t will receive severance pay, she said.

Watts declined to specify why the restaurant will shut its doors.

“It was a business decision, and we don’t have any plans for that location at this time,” she said.
