Forgotten Manchester United goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard is expected to complete a move to West Brom today as Tony Pulis looks to add cover for the injured Ben Foster.

The 31-year-old, who has also attracted interest from West Ham United and Turkish side Besiktas, is reportedly in Birmingham today to meet with representatives over a potential move to Hawthorns.

Pulis has turned his attention to Lindegaard after failing to meet Cardiff City's £5 million valuation of Scotland international David Marshall.

West Brom's head coach is desperate to bring in an experienced stopper to compete with Boaz Myhill while Foster recovers from a knee injury that will keep him out until October.

Lindegaard, who played in the memorable 5-5 draw at the Hawthorns in May 2013 in Sir Alex Ferguson's last game in charge, has found games hard to come by since joining United from Norwegian club Aalesunds FK in 2010.

He made his United debut in a 2–1 FA Cup fourth round victory against Southampton in January 2011 and his Old Trafford maiden came the following month in an FA Cup fifth round win against Crawley Town.

But his United career hit a stumbling block in March 2011 when he underwent knee surgery that would keep him out of action for five weeks.

Lindegaard performed well in his first Champions League start for United against Portuguese side Benfica in September 2011, but was unable to wrestle the number one jersey from David De Gea.

He made 10 appearances in 2012/13, with De Gea sidelined with teeth problems, as United won the Premier League title.

But he played in only three games the following season and has not featured in a single match since Luis van Gaal took over at Old Trafford last summer.

Should Lindegaard join, he will be the third player to join from United since Pulis arrived at the Hawthorns in January.
