Threatening to, “shoot everyone in the store,” unless they complied with his demands, a masked gunman robbed a Dollar General in Oakland Park, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, and detectives are still searching for him.

Investigators are seeking the public’s help to identify the slender man who walked into the discount store at 2121 W. Oakland Park Blvd. about 7:25 p.m. on Jan. 13.

Surveillance video shows the armed robber covered his head with a black shirt and wrapped another shirt around his gun.

The gunman announced he wanted the money in the cash registers and would hurt everyone in the store if they resisted, investigators said.

The security video shows the employees opening the register and then moving away. A woman customer and a young girl who were right next to the checkout counter are seen slowly backing away from the armed man as he grabs a few hundred dollars from the cash drawer.

The robber is described as approximately 6-foot-1, with a slim build. He wore orange gloves, a blue plaid shirt and black pants. He was seen driving off in a grey, four-door, newer model Chevrolet, possibly an Impala, detectives said.

Investigators are asking anyone with information to call Detective Mohammad Razi at 954-321-4547 or Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477 or go online to browardcrimestoppers.org.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $3,000 for an anonymous tip that leads to an arrest.
