East Lampeter Township police responded to an armed robbery at the Dollar General Store on the 1600 block of Lincoln Highway East just after 8:30 p.m. Friday.Investigators say a black man, approximately 30 years of age, between 6 feet and 6 feet 3 inches tall, weighing 250 pounds, with a bandanna covering his face and wearing black puffy coat with a fur lined hood up, came into the store displaying a handgun.According to police, the man approached employees at the register, then demanded money and cigarettes.Officials say after getting cash and cigarettes the man fled on foot.The employees were not injured, according to police.Anyone with information is asked to submit a tip or contact East Lampeter Township police detective Preston Gentzler at 717-291-4676.
