Glu Mobile 'Kim Kardashian: Hollywood' App To Add Kanye West, North West Characters

Glu Mobile, developer of reality star Kim Kardashian’s mobile game, has announced the introduction of two new characters to “Kim Kardashian: Hollywood.” The highly successful mobile application will be graced with the presence of Kim’s husband Kanye West and their daughter North West.

Using its official twitter account, Glu Mobile teased the arrival of Kim’s family members by posting a photo of new room designs on Wednesday. The graphics show two designs with one featuring a baby’s crib. The other design is a playroom filled with toys and other child-friendly furniture.

Not long after, Glu Mobile released a photo featuring what appears to be an animated version of the Kardashian-West family. The tweet reads:

In the accompanying photo, the representation of Kanye West is wearing a casual black printed T-shirt. He is giving a thumbs-up while showing off some bling on his wrist. Standing beside him is the animated version of his wife. She is holding a baby in her arms who is believed to be a representation of the couple’s daughter, North.

Glu Mobile has not officially named the new characters Kanye and North, but a report from E! Online pushes the theory. The characters are non-playable but could be encountered sometime during the game.

“Kim Kardashian: Hollywood” is a mobile game designed to mimic the real life of Kim and her family members’ rise to fame and fortune. Players start out as D-list celebrities and play the game in order to make their way to the top and meet other celebrities.

The original version of the game was released last summer and become one of the most successful apps of the year. To date, the game is estimated to have earned US $200 million.

The app has been updated several times since its release. Updates included the addition of new places based on locations to which Kim has frequently traveled, such as Paris and Miami. Late last year, Kim’s mom Kris Jenner and her sisters were added to the game. Before her older sister Kourtney Kardashian agreed to be included, there was some drama between the sisters, which was seen earlier this season on “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.”

The date of inclusion of the new characters has yet to be announced.
