High Rise at Post Alexander Earns National Green Building Standard(TM) (NGBS) Bronze-level Certification

The High Rise at Post Alexander in Buckhead recently received the National Green Building Standard™ (NGBS) Bronze-level Certification.

The NGBS certification goes well beyond saying a home is energy efficient; it provides independent, third-party verification that an apartment building is designed and built to achieve high performance in six key areas: Site Design, Resource Efficiency, Water Efficiency, Energy Efficiency, Indoor Environmental Quality and Building Operation & Maintenance.

Since the late 1970s, Post Properties has made an intentional effort to make conscious decisions to reduce its apartment homes’ footprints. Today, led by the “Green Team,” the Post Properties EcoActive™ initiative fosters a company culture committed to energy-saving behaviors and ecologically sound practices — including communities awarded or seeking “green” building certifications, such as our LEED Certified apartments.

Post Properties is proud and excited for one of its newest developments, the High Rise, to have received confirmation that all the careful planning to make the High Rise green was worthwhile.
