Co-owners Heather Wysong and Laurel Tennet have opened North State Ballet in south Chico.

The new school is located at 312 Otterson Drive, Suite G. and its website is www.northstateballet.com

It has programs for youth and adults, with programs starting for little ones as young as 2 years old. There is a separate class for boys, and one for beginning adults.

The website also contains an extensive history for both women and a class schedule and calendar.

New faces

Financial expert Tim Tittle of Chico has joined the board of directors of Golden Valley Bank.

The Chico-based bank has 11 board members now.

A Chico State University graduate, Tittle has been a managing partner of Tittle & Co. LLP since 2002, and has been in the financial industry since 1982.

He has a diversified accounting background in the areas of financial reporting, taxation, business planning, management and consulting, litigation support and business valuations.

Tittle is an original shareholder in the bank.

Scholarships

Scholarship applications are available for college-bound high school students, as well as current college and continuing students. The awards mean at least 150 student in PG&E’s Northern and Central California service area will receive $1,000 to $6,000 next year for exemplary scholastic achievement and community leadership.

Information is available on the PG&E website. Applications must be submitted by Feb. 1.
