New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski will be back for the 2018 NFL season.Gronkowski made the announcement on his Instagram page Tuesday afternoon, saying he informed head coach Bill Belichick he will be playing next season. “I met with coach today and informed him I will be back for the 2018 season with the Pats," Gronkowski said. "I have been working out, staying in shape and feel great. Looking forward to another championship run.” Following the loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LII, it was unclear if Gronkowski was going to return to football. There were reports the 28-year-old would go for a career in sports entertainment, with longtime wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer reporting World Wrestling Entertainment was willing to offer Gronkowski a deal similar to the one former UFC champion Ronda Rousey signed. The Eagle-Tribune reported Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson told Gronkowski he could make millions in action films. This will be the two-time Super Bowl champion’s eighth season in the NFL.
