A driver was broadcasting on Facebook Live when she and her passenger were killed in a Pennsylvania car crash.

Pennsylvania state police said 18-year-old Brooke Miranda Hughes launched the broadcast while driving on an interstate in Eastern Pennsylvania. Moments later, AP reported, a tractor trailer crashed into the back of Hughes' car, killing her and 19-year-old passenger Chaniya Morrison-Toomey.

The incident occurred on Tuesday shortly after midnight.

The stream captured the moment of the crash and the minutes that followed.

In the video, Morrison-Toomey can be heard saying, "Are you going live?" before the video showed flashing lights and the sounds of screeching tires, the Times Tribune of Scranton reported. The video went black for the next seven minutes, according to the newspaper, followed by sounds of a man speaking and the vision of a bearded face before the video cuts out.

Pennsylvania State Trooper Dave Peters told AP that Hughes was driving on a spare tire.

The video, which has been taken off Facebook, will be used as part of law enforcement's investigation.
