Unisys Names Two New Executives To Drive Government Business

Unisys appointed two new executives to its public sector and federal organizations Wednesday.

The Blue Bell Pa.-based company named Mark Forman as global head of Unisys Public Sector and Jennifer Napper as group vice president of the Department of Defense and Intelligence Group within Unisys Federal.

Both positions make up a large part of Unisys' government business, which accounted for 44 percent of the company's revenue last quarter.

Napper will head up all account management, solution delivery and business growth activities for the Unisys organization serving clients in the U.S. Department of Defense and intelligence communities. In an interview with CRN, Napper said Unisys' speed of innovation and global experience of the company were what drew her to the company. She added that she hopes to improve upon those qualities and leverage Unisys' ability to deliver new technologies to the Department of Defense.

"The opportunity to take charge and drive change in this position appealed to me," she said. "I am looking forward to working with the positive leadership at Unisys."

Forman, for his part, told CRN he aims to capitalize on what he called "another technology wave," comparing the emergence of cloud and big data analytics today to the birth of e-governance, which he experienced as administrator of the Office of E-Government and IT for the George W. Bush administration, a position now known as the federal government's CTO.

Forman said he will be looking at technology changes as they happen across the world and utilizing his understanding of global governance to "move across the globe with our customers."

"I want to spread initiatives vertically across the U.S., and then horizontally across the world," he told CRN.
