Investigation of Kinder Morgan's Santa Fe Petroleum Pipeline.

Since July of 2014, Attorney Shawn M. O’Neil and his law firm O'Neil Law LLC have been conducting an extensive investigation of the Oregon portion of the Santa Fe Petroleum Pipeline (the Pipeline), a 53-year-old pipeline owned by the Texas energy infrastructure conglomerate, Kinder Morgan. The Pipeline extends approximately 115 miles from Portland to Eugene, and travels through densely populated communities including the City of Wilsonville where Shawn and his family live. In Wilsonville, parts of the Pipeline travel through residential areas as well as the local primary and middle schools.

The focus of Shawn’s investigation is on the physical integrity of the Pipeline, its safety record, and the adequacy of government oversight. The investigation also centers on the effectiveness of emergency planning, safety and disaster response training, and communication between key public and private entities responsible for protecting the communities along the Pipeline.

Shawn’s investigation is still ongoing. However, in an effort to begin informing and educating those concerned residents and communities living near or directly along the pipeline, Shawn will begin releasing a significant portion of the information he has collected on his website,www.shawnoneil.com.
