In early trading on Friday, shares of Amgen (AMGN) topped the list of the day's best performing components of the Nasdaq 100 index, trading up 4.8%. Year to date, Amgen registers a 12.9% gain.
And the worst performing Nasdaq 100 component thus far on the day is Whole Foods Market (WFM), trading down 2.0%. Whole Foods Market is lower by about 29.9% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are Wynn Resorts (WYNN), trading down 1.9%, and Liberty Ventures (LVNTA), trading up 2.6% on the day.
