VeriSign Inc. (VRSN) Is Up Sharply Despite Q2 Miss

VeriSign Inc. (VRSN) reported second quarter non-GAAP EPS of $0.74 after the close Thursday, which fell short of the consensus estimate of $0.75. Revenues came in at $263 million, up 4.9 percent from the same quarter in 2014. Analysts expected revenue of $261.89 million.

VeriSign spiked to the upside at the open Friday and is currently higher by 4.37 at $70.39 on above average volume. The stock has surged past resistance and has set a new high for the year.
