Freds — opening in Barney Greengrass’ former fifth-floor space at Barneys Beverly Hills in early October — has partnered with Band of Outsiders, one of the store’s darling lines, for its uniforms.

“The bartenders are wearing engineered jumpsuits, a workwear reference gussied up,” says Band designer Scott Sternberg, a Greengrass regular during his pre-fashion life as a CAA agent (“It was all about those crunchy, crunchy breadsticks”).
As for the waitstaff: “They are simple uniforms, subtly colorblocked. It’s a democratic approach, meant to fit any silhouette, not just some waifish model.”
