The Younger Agency, a company in the airport advertising business, has been acquired by Lamar Advertising Co., an owner and operator of outdoor advertising and logo sign displays.

Younger has been in the public relations and advertising business in Northern Nevada for more than 30 years and is handing off its airport business that adds Boise Airport, Spokane International Airport, Juneau, Grand Junction and Elko regional airports and one bus transit system, Valley Regional Transit in Boise, to Lamar's advertising business. The Younger Agency's primary inventory has focused on the development of digital network systems. Additional inventories include LED backlit signage and custom displays throughout the various airports.

"I've enjoyed building a segments of the agency's business over the last 30 years in this interesting and diverse niche business with our airport partners throughout the western United States," said Liz Younger, president and owner of the Younger Agency. "I'm excited to be able to hand it off the business to one of the U.S.' leading billboard companies."

Younger said two airport staff members will transition to Lamar and one, Jeana Clark, remains with the agency, where she and Younger will continue in the public relations business, special event production and managing several projects unrelated to the airport business.
