Latest Environmental Analyser Announced
Aug 19 2015
JSB (the Netherlands) are a Premium Solution partner for Agilent Technologies Ltd and a distributor of innovative technologies and services. Agilent Technologies Ltd is recognised as a world leader in the design and manufacture of instrumentation and consumables. They are acknowledged innovator with the latest and most robust technology to the environmental market. JSB have developed a robust Total Petroleum Hydrocarbon (TPH) Analyser for soils and waters based on GC*GC technology.
Total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH) is a term used to describe a large family of several hundred chemical compounds that originally come from crude oil. The typical range from C5 – C40 consist of fractions and classes. The fractions range from petrol, through kerosene, diesel to oils, jet fuel and crude. The main classes of compounds present are saturated and unsaturated aliphatics and aromatics containing carbon and hydrogen. From an environmental perspective not only total petroleum measurement is a requirement, but the compound classes and sometimes the individual components need reporting. This is due to the toxicity differences between the classes and individual compounds. In addition it is also very useful to know what fraction of petroleum is present and how long it has been present in the case of land contamination.
JSB’s solution reduces the sample preparation steps to produce one extract to analyse. This minimises the number of samples/methods for TPH analysis, visually displays and report more accurate TPH data. This increases the client’s reputation and maximises their return on investment.
Marco Koenen, managing director of JSB, commented: “Agilent is an ideal fit for us; they are a global supplier to companies that require accurate and robust analytical measurement. JSB’s ethos of working closely with clients to ensure they always supply the appropriate solution compliments both company values, the latest TPH Analyser being the newest addition.”
JSB have established a reputation for developing innovative solutions to analytical measurement are now recognised as a leading authority in the field.”
