Investing.com – Belgium stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology, Financials and Pharma & Bio-technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 fell 0.55%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Delta Lloyd (AS:DLL), which rose 5.59% or 0.39 points to trade at 7.32 at the close. Meanwhile, KBC (BR:KBC) added 1.14% or 0.610 points to end at 54.220 and Anheuser-Busch Inbev SA (BR:ABI) was up 0.80% or 0.95 points to 120.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ackermans V.Haaren (BR:ACKB), which fell 5.93% or 8.30 points to trade at 131.75 at the close. Telenet Group (BR:TNET) declined 2.09% or 1.07 points to end at 50.22 and Befimmo-Sicafi (BR:BEFBb) was down 1.95% or 1.155 points to 58.155.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 110 to 42 and 8 ended unchanged.
Shares in Anheuser-Busch Inbev SA (BR:ABI) rose to all time highs; gaining 0.80% or 0.95 to 120.00.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.83% or 8.90 to $1075.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 3.14% or 1.31 to hit $43.06 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 3.18% or 1.43 to trade at $46.26 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.19% to 1.0657, while EUR/GBP rose 0.74% to 0.7074.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.24% at 99.60.
