LONDON, March 27 (Xinhua) -- FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Monday decreased by 0.59 percent, or 43.32 points, to 7,293.50 points.
Share price of Next increased by 2.47 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. Centrica, Shire, AstraZeneca and Marks & Spencer Group increased by 1.43 percent, 0.96 percent, 0.93 percent and 0.81 percent respectively.
Antofagasta led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 4.70 percent, following by Glencore (4.38 percent), Babcock International Group (4.31 percent), Anglo American (3.91 percent) and BHP Billiton (3.86 percent).
