New office-bearers elected

Award-winning writer K.P. Ramanunni has been elected president and Vallikkavu Mohandas general secretary of the Progressive Writers’ Association.

The association will have litterateurs Puthussery Ramachandran, Sugathakumari, E. Vasu, George Onakkur, Perumbuzha Gopalakrishnan, Alankode Leelakrishnan, P.K. Gopi, Maniyoor E. Balan, Viswamangalam Sundaresan, and N.E. Geetha as its patrons.

A.P. Kunhamu, Cheravalli Sasi, K.N.K. Namboodiri, S. Haneefa Rawther, and U. Vikraman have been elected vice-presidents; M. Chandrababu, Gayathri, Kanimol, Poovattur Bahuleyan, and Anil Marath as its secretaries; and K. Dilip Kumar as its treasurer.
