Man Wanted For Armed Robbery Of Laurel Wendy's

LAUREL, MD — Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the Wendy's on Russett Green East in Laurel.

At about 7:21 a.m. July 22, officers responded to a robbery at the fast food chain. An employe told officers that while he was opening the business, a man approached him, pointed a handgun at him and demanded cash.

The victim complied and the man fled with an undetermined amount of money, police said. Officers searched the area with the assistance of the police K-9 unit, but were unable to locate the suspect.

Police describe the suspect as a black male, 30-40 years of age, 5'11" with a heavy build. He was wearing dark clothing, police said.
