SYNAXON AG announces results for the first nine months 2008

In the period of nine months in 2008 the period surplus of SYNAXON AG amounted to 1,388 thousand EUR (previous year: 1,801 thousand EUR) at a calculated tax rate of 31.5 %, which has hardly changed in comparison to the previous year (previous year: 31.6%). The result before taxes and minority interests was roughly 2,035 thousand EUR (previous year: 2,709 thousand EUR). The group turnover was reduced mainly due to the decrease of the proceeds linked with the commissioned purchasing volumes to 11,271 thousand EUR (previous year: 12,314 thousand EUR).
On the one hand the significantly lower average prices for IT products fostered the unit sales on the German IT market, however on the other hand, they also decreased the turnovers. The figures for the period of nine months, which project a result before taxes of at least 2.5 m EUR for the business year 2008, still continue to be as planned. It is currently not foreseeable, in how far the financial crisis will impact the demand for IT products. A serious fall of the demand during the Christmas business may, however, affect the company result.
