New York: A woman, who has allegedly been stalking Hugh Jackman, has been indicted for throwing an electric razor filled with her pubic hair at the actor while he was working out at his West Village gym last week.
Assistant district attorney Virginia Nguyen told a judge at a short hearing just before lunch that there has been affirmative grand jury action, the New York Post reported. The prosecutor gave no details of the indictment, which will be unsealed at Katherine Thurston`s next court date, set by Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Steven Statsinger for May 8. Thurston - a mom to three grown children - stood rear-cuffed and expressionless at the defence table, her hair in a mussy ponytail, before she was led back to jail, where she is being held in lieu of 7,500-dollar-cash-bail. Legal aid lawyer Liz Beal did not request that Thurston, a Bakersfield, California native, be examined to see if she is mentally fit for trial. She had been originally charged with harassment, stalking, menacing and low-level weapons possession - all misdemeanors. Thurston was already on probation for stalking the 44-year-old actor at a San Francisco concert last year. According to the criminal complaint, she told the cops that she wants to marry Jackman and this was not against the law. She added that it was not against the law to have two wives. ANI
