Coupon books
You'll find three coupon books in Sunday' editions: a redplum, a SmartSource and a P&G brandSAVER. As usual, there are offers at several stores for extra savings with the P&G coupons. The SmartSource features Carrabba's Italian Grill coupons for 15 percent off a lunch or dinner check. The redplum offers some high-value coupons for Allegra allergy products. Look below for store offers tied to those coupons. And with the fall allergy season just a couple of sniffles away, they and the high-value Claritin allergy relief coupons in the Smartource book, will be welcome.
Giant Foods
The Giant circular features two gas discounts for buying designated items and a coupon for double gas points on your entire order when you spend at least $50 after all coupons and discounts have been subtracted. There's one gas discount for 40 cents a gallon for buying five items from a group of 15. The other is for 30 cents a gallon for buying any eight items from a group of nine. I don't see much coupon help for these offers. Two other Giant offers of note: If you buy $15 of participating Unilever product you get $3 off your purchase and Unilever will donate 15 meals for families in need. And you can get $5 off your order when you spend $15 on participating Garnier products. There are coupons in the redplum that can help you save more with this deal.
Weis Markets
Weis checks in with a fair number of buy-one-get-one-free offers, including Nathan's beef franks and Ball Park franks, Doritos snack, selected Martin's potato chips and selected Arnold Country Classic breads. You'll also find a buy-one-get-two-free deal on selected packs of Thomas' English muffins. And don't forget that deal for a $10 checkout coupon for buying $50 of participating Kimberly Clark, Playtex, Gerber, Beechnut, Aquaphor and other baby products through Sept. 12. This could be a good stockup opportunity.
Karns Foods
At Karns starting Sunday you'll find special prices on items including Adams County Gala and Golden Supreme apples priced at 99 cents a pound, fresh chicken drumsticks priced at 39 cents a pound when you buy at least 10 pounds, fresh boneless skinless chicken breasts priced at $1.99 a pound when you buy five pounds and Jamestown smoked ham shank portions priced at $1 a pound.
CVS/pharmacy
CVS has a deal tied to the P&G coupons for $3 in extrabucks rewards when you buy $12 of participating Tide, Bounce and Bounty product. There are coupons for those products in the P&G book. CVS also has a deal for $5 in extrabucks rewards when you buy $15 of Total Home paper and cleaning items. The extrabucks rewards are printed on your store receipt, so save it for use on your next purchase.
Rite Aid
Rite Aid also has a deal for extra savings with the P&G coupons. You'll get 700 Plenti points worth $7 in savings when you buy $30 of participating P&G products. Rite Aid also has a deal for 400 Plenti points when you buy $10 of participating oral care products.
Unless otherwise mentioned, the offers described here begin Aug. 30 and continue through Sept. 5. In most cases they require the use of a store loyalty card.
