SolarWinds Inc. (SWI) Soared To A New High After Bought & Taken Private

SolarWinds Inc. (SWI) announced Wednesday morning that it has agreed to be acquired by Silver Lake Partners and Thoma Bravo LLC for $60.10 per share or approximately $4.5 billion in cash.

SolarWinds gapped open dramatically higher Wednesday and climbed in early trade, before settling into a narrow range. The stock ended the day with a gain of 8.11 at $58.31, with volume at a 3-month high. SolarWinds soared past resistance and set a new high for the year.
