KKR SWINGS TO A PROFIT, BOLSTERED BY CREDIT AND ENERGY GAINS
KKR & Co. swung to a third-quarter profit on gains in the
value of its private-equity, credit and energy holdings.
3M CUTS EARNINGS OUTLOOK AMID FLAT SALES
3M Co. cut the top end of its yearly earnings forecast as it
posted nearly flat sales for its latest quarter, pressured by a
7.4% slide in revenue for its electronics and energy segment.
JETBLUE PROFIT RISES AS PASSENGER TRAFFIC INCREASES
JetBlue Airways Corp. said its third-quarter profit edged higher
as passenger traffic increased and fuel costs remained low.

Baker Hughes Inc. said its third-quarter loss widened on charges
related to its cost-cutting efforts and other items as the
oil-field services company's revenue was hurt by continued weak

CIT Group said its quarterly revenue increased and expenses were
nearly flat as the bank continues to work to remake itself.

United Technologies Corp. boosted its guidance for the year as
profit and revenue rose in the third quarter, topping
expectations.
AK STEEL, SCHNITZER STEEL EARNINGS RISE AMID LOWER COSTS
AK Steel and Schnitzer Steel Industries Inc. both reported
stronger earnings Tuesday as the companies benefited from
cost-cutting measures.
DUPONT REVENUE RISES, BOOSTS PROFIT FORECAST
Chemical giant DuPont, looking to wrap up its merger with Dow
Chemical, boosted its profit outlook for the year as it reported
