Jon Baksht became CFO of Ensco Plc, the London-based company said Nov. 16. Baksht succeeds Jay Swent in the role, who is retiring at the end of the year, the company said.

Most recently, he was vice president of finance for Ensco, which he joined as vice president-treasurer. Previously, he worked in investment banking and consulting.

Baksht has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a master’s of business administration degree from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.

Supply chain and information services will continue reporting to Swent in the near term until a new reporting structure is announced.

Ensco is based in London.
