San Francisco -– Williams-Sonoma Inc. announced today that it will honor the tradition of Thanksgiving Day by closing all U.S. retail stores for the day to allow its staff and urge shoppers to celebrate the holiday.
“As a company whose mission is to enhance the quality of life at home, we want to encourage everyone to take the time on Thanksgiving Day to build memories and share their gratitude with loved ones,” said Laura Alber, president and ceo.
The store closures will extend across all Williams-Sonoma Inc. brands, including Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids, PBteen, Williams-Sonoma, West Elm, and Rejuvenation.
The company noted its online sites for its nameplates will remain open – as usual.
All stores will reopen the next morning, on Black Friday.
