Deals Rumor Mill: PSP Investments, Americana Group, Eni SpA

By Benjamin Horney (November 4, 2014, 7:35 PM EST) -- Canadian pension fund PSP Investments, along with its partners Arcus Infrastructure Partners, Dutch pension fund APG and Brookfield Asset Management Inc., is nearing a deal to pick up TDF's French unit for about €3.5 billion ($4.4 billion), according to a Tuesday report from Reuters. According to the report, the deal, which would help TDF's private equity owners pay off billions of dollars of debt, could be announced within the next few days. PSP has been linked to a potential deal for TDF's French operations since late May, and in September, reports said it and Arcus were closing in on a deal for the unit that was valued at $4.7 billion....
