Ice cream run. Store security at King Soopers, 17000 E. Iliff Ave. called police Oct. 5 because he watched a man conceal two boxes of ice cream sandwiches in his jacket and leave the store without paying.

Free pizza. A delivery driver for Domino’s Pizza called police Oct. 9 because a woman who lives in the 12400 block of East Alaska Place paid for a $75 delivery order with fake $20 bills. The driver didn’t realize the money was counterfeit until he tried to deposit it later.

Key grab. A man standing next to a running Escalade flagged a patrolling officer down in the area of East Colfax Avenue and North Potomac Street. The man said his girlfriend broke his car key in the ignition and ran off after the two had a fight Oct. 10. Officers couldn’t find the woman.

Fuel heist. The supervisor of Lighting Ventures called police to a construction site in the 15000 block of East Alameda Parkway on Oct. 8 because someone used a siphoning hose to steal more than 200 gallons of gasoline from four pieces of construction equipment. There are no suspects.

Passive aggressive denting. A woman who lives in the 4200 block of Granby Way called police Oct. 9 because she suspected her neighbors of hitting dents in her car several times over the last year. The suspect and victim had a history of disagreements.

Caught carting away electronics. A man was ticketed for trying to steal two home theater systems from K-Mart, 15200 E. Colfax Ave. The suspect was pushing the merchandise around the store without security tags on for a while before he tried to make a break for it.
