Sol Trujillo and Latinpointe’s David and Sarah Chavez have united to launch a “people-connecting” event firm entitled Ingenuity, the founders announced Thursday.

Trujillo is named as the company’s investor with David and Sarah Chavez as CEO and president, respectively.

“Ingenuity is a growth-building agency for entities looking to connect with diverse audiences from influencers to millions of consumers,” said Trujillo. “We simply will be brand-building through innovation, delivering high-profile and meaningful ‘connection’ opportunities for clients.”

Ingenuity’s mission is to design new, broad-based media on digital and live-event platforms that promote diversity in culture, music, sports, comedy, excellence and success. Brands working with the company include AMC Theatres, Macy’s, Southwest Airlines and the Los Angeles Times.

The company will also launch a vertical for motivational speakers set to bow in late September. The tour will feature 40 celebrities, business executives and community leaders who share inspirational American stories to a live audience. Former CNN anchor Soledad O’Brien is the first name to participate in this division and will produce a three-month college tour in multiple cities this fall.

The company also plans to produce awards programs highlighting Latinos across the country.

“Our new name Ingenuity is all about our approach, execution, and how we are developing programs and properties reflective of the new mainstream growth,” said Sarah Chavez.
