The team behind Provision No. 14 opened The Prospect last month on U Street. The walls inside the former Ulah Bistro space are now lined with bowling pins and covered in posters and TV screens. But it's not just an average sports bar— instead of beer, they specialize in cider. The menu offers elevated stadium fare like homemade Cracker Jacks, chicken tenders and goat nachos.

The vast bar with two floors is becoming a favorite among football fans. It already has 28 Yelp reviews with an overall rating of four stars. Read on for the early word on The Prospect:

The Sports Bar on Fleek News: Yelper Amanda P. calls The Prospect "an upgraded version of a normal sports bar." Twitter user @BTMenu says it's a "great spot to hole up in...for sports" and Instagrammer @mrpinkerton declares, "sports bar on fleek." [Yelper, Twitter, Instagram]

The 40 Different TV Screens News: Most guests visited The Prospect to watch football on one of their many screens. Washington City Paper writes, "The one thing that actually makes the sports bar feel like a sports bar is the 40 televisions." But Twitter user @ShelbRenae complains, "@TheProspectDC — Where 3/4 TVs can be playing the same football game and no one can find a manager to change one in 30 minutes." [WCP, Twitter]

The Everybody Loves Brian News: Despite the television problems, the bar's staff is getting a fair amount of praise. Guests especially love co-owner Brian. Yelper Tracy R. writes, "Let me also tell you about Brian... He took the time to talk to us and introduce himself and ask us how the food and service were. Yelper Jeremy C. says, "The personal touch in the service industry is sometimes lacking but not with this bunch and especially Brian" and Yelper Jericho T. writes, "Many thanks to Brian... who checked on us and hooked us up with a round of Prospect Bombs." [Yelp]

The Out of This World Hog Wings News: Yelper Levi P. describes the dish as "Four tender, meaty cuts of pork on a bone with your choice of several delicious sauces -my personal favorite being chili peach." Yelper David R. says he could live off the the hog wings and Yelper John M. writes, "they were out of this world!" [Yelp]

The Really Great Goat Nachos News: Foursquare user Donna T. says the goat nachos are "worth it" and Yelper Brittany L. thinks "they had really great flavor." Yelper Sara B. says her table inhaled them in minutes. [FS, Yelp]

The Laughably Small Portions News: Yelper Richard M. was disappointed in the size of the fish tacos and calls the portion "laughably small," but Yelper Nick E. offers, "The food is high quality and the portions are not big so you may end up ordering more than normal." [Yelp]

The Frozen Cider Is On Point News: Although this sports bar has plenty of beer, it really specializes in cider, particularly a frozen cider drink with a touch of gin. Yelper Tracy R. calls it "on point." Yelper Jericho T. thinks it's "so good" and David R. says it's "amazing." Yelper Brittany L. also loved it. [Yelp]

The Cool Twist on Classic Cocktails News: Yelper Nick E. writes, "The drinks are definitely tasty and they put a cool twist on a lot of classic cocktails." On Tap magazine highly recommends the Caramelized Old Fashioned made with Calvados, apple bitters and salted caramel. [Yelp, On Tap]
