Cops have arrested a scheming 14-year-old boy they say convinced a man with vision problems he was a cop and then pickpocketed his wallet.
The conniving adolescent approached the 64-year-old victim outside the 34th St. and Eighth Ave. station, identified himself as a cop, and offered him assistance entering the subway about 4:20 p.m. Monday.
In the station, surveillance video released by cops shows the pint-sized pickpocket removing the wallet from the man’s backpack.
The thief fled with the wallet. Later that day someone charged $500 to the victim’s credit card at Zumiez, a clothing store on 34th St.
The boy was charged with grand larceny and criminal impersonation of a police officer.
Because of his age, police did not release the youngster’s name.
