Big and tall men's shop opens in West Des Moines

Destination XL, a clothing store for big and tall men, opened today in the Paradise Pointe retail center in West Des Moines.

The 6,147-square-foot store at 6503 Mills Civic Parkway sits next to Party City and Kohl's. The store offers brand-name clothing from Polo Ralph Lauren, Lacoste, Michael Kors and Lucky Brand along with Brooks Brothers, True Religion, DKNY Jeans and others. The store has wide aisles, large fitting rooms, sofas and flat-screen televisions.

The store carries clothing, shoes and accessories in sizes starting at XL or 38-inch waist and offers on-site tailoring services.

Destination XL Group has 130 stores in 37 states and also operates the Casual Male store in Clive.

Destination XL hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday to Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.
