Edward Foxworth III was named director of Art Van Furniture’s The Art of Selling Institute which was created by Art Van Elslander, founder and chairman of Art Van Furniture as a personal legacy project. The institute is creating a world class sales course which Foxworth will lead and distribute to high schools, colleges and through an interactive website.

“Edward has the passion, drive and experience to execute my vision of inspiring a new generation to proudly choose sales as a career,” Van Elslander said in a statement. “Our shared goal is to ignite the pride, purpose and prestige of sales in students. This program can and will change the lives of its participants.”

Foxworth formerly served as Executive Director of the Detroit Police Athletic League. He has worked as a broadcast journalist on Detroit’s CBS-62 and CW-50 TV and a freelance contributor to Radio One’s Mildred Gaddis Show and WGPR’s Mason Radio Morning Show.

Foxworth also served on the faculty of University of Phoenix where he obtained master’s degrees in business administration and adult education.

The Art of Selling Institute’s courses will be available in March 2016, with a training center planned in Detroit next year. For more information, visit artvan.com.
