Shutterfly Inc. (SFLY) reported a third quarter loss of $0.86 per share after the bell Wednesday, compared to the loss of $1.73 per share in the previous year. The consensus estimate was for a loss of $0.92. The company expects to report fourth quarter EPS of $2.57 to $2.86 and full year EPS of $0.40 to $0.66. Street expectations are for EPS of $2.73 and $0.52. The stock is now up 2.93 on 59K shares.

Shutterfly gapped open slightly lower Wednesday, but was range-bound throughout the session. The stock closed down by 0.38 at $42.07 on above average volume. Shutterfly has been declining for over 2 weeks and set a 8-month low.
