In early trading on Friday, shares of NXP Semiconductors (NXPI) topped the list of the day's best performing components of the Nasdaq 100 index, trading up 6.7%. Year to date, NXP Semiconductors registers a 21.8% gain.
And the worst performing Nasdaq 100 component thus far on the day is Cognizant Technology Solutions (CTSH), trading down 13.0%. Cognizant Technology Solutions is lower by about 20.3% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are Regeneron Pharmaceuticals (REGN), trading down 3.5%, and Costco Wholesale (COST), trading up 3.9% on the day.
