Iowa stocks bounce back

Stock prices of Iowa-based companies are mostly rebounding this afternoon as the stock market continues to bounce back from early morning losses.

U.S. stocks tumbled early Monday morning amid a global sell-off, though the market climbed upward in afternoon trading.

In afternoon trading, the Dow climbed back from the early morning plunge and was down 280 points, or 1.7%, USA Today reported. The Standard & Poor's 500 index dropped as much as 100 points as it dipped into correction territory —  which is defined as a drop of 10% or more —  before cutting its losses to about 35 points, or a drop of 1.9%.

Here's a look at where the stocks of some Iowa-based companies stand as of about 1 p.m. central:

  • Casey's General Store is trading at $104.01 per share, down 0.86 percent. Shares have traded for as low as $99.01 today. 
  • Flexsteel Industries is trading at $29.79 per share, down 2.17 percent. Shares have traded as low as $27.25 today. 
  • Principal Financial Group is trading at $51.18 per share, down 2.75 percent. Shares have traded as low as $50.20 today. 
  • Rockwell Collins is trading at $81.90 per share, down 2.16 percent. Shares have traded for as low as $78.15 today. 
  • Winnebago Industries is trading at $20.29 per share, down  0.47 percent. Shares have traded for as low as $18.98 today.
