In trading on Thursday, precious metals shares were relative laggards, down on the day by about 0.9%. Helping drag down the group were shares of Platinum Group Metals (PLG), off about 14.4% and shares of B2gold Corporation (BTG) down about 4.2% on the day.
Also lagging the market Thursday are oil & gas exploration & production shares, down on the day by about 0.9% as a group, led down by Midstates Petroleum Company (MPO), trading lower by about 12% and Abraxas Petroleum (AXAS), trading lower by about 6.9%.
