Duke Energy presents a check to SOTW St. Thomas Catholic School

FORT THOMAS, Ky. (WKRC) - Every week Local 12 and Duke Energy honors a school doing big things with its students. On Thursday, St. Thomas Catholic School received a check from Duke Energy for being the School of the Week.

St. Thomas Catholic School in Fort Thomas was recognized for its long history of excellence and its dedicated staff, most notably Roger Tarvin.

He's been teaching in Northern Kentucky for 52 years.

Local 12's Perry Schaible was at the school on Thursday to present the school with a $1,000 check from Duke Energy.
