Kids attend field day at Brown-Foreman amphitheater
Several organizations came together in Louisville to hold a community field day.Kids gathered at the Brown-Forman amphitheater to run around and play games.Hope by Hope partnered with One Louisville, The Urban League, and Mayor Greg Fischer to make this field day happen.Organizers said it's about bringing the community together and giving kids someone to look up to. "We are giving them extra resources where they know they can come and see local community leaders like us. They can come ask us for anything, come talk to us, summertime, come get summer breeze. Once school gets started, we want them to have someone to call on. Once school gets overwhelming, they need to be able to have some structured fun, knowing that their kids are safe," Hope by Hope president Lee’Vaughn Morris said.Organizers hope to continue the program throughout the year.
