In early trading on Friday, shares of Monster Beverage (MNST) topped the list of the day's best performing components of the Nasdaq 100 index, trading up 11.6%. Year to date, Monster Beverage has lost about 4.2% of its value.
And the worst performing Nasdaq 100 component thus far on the day is Stericycle (SRCL), trading down 19.5%. Stericycle is lower by about 18.8% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are Seagate Technology (STX), trading down 15.6%, and Amazon.com (AMZN), trading up 10.1% on the day.
