The iShares Global REIT ETF (REET) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Thursday, with over 126,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 47,000. Shares of REET were down about 0.4% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Thursday were Host Hotels & Resorts (HST), trading up about 2.2% with over 5.3 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Lasalle Hotel Properties (LHO), up about 3.1% on volume of over 1.7 million shares. Urstadt Biddle Properties (UBA) is lagging other components of the iShares Global REIT ETF Thursday, trading lower by about 5.3%.
