Fanwood Parents To Open Childcare Center In Town

Bhavna and Vishal Ajwani are offering a solution to working parents with longer hours and a better educational program in Fanwood.

FANWOOD, NJ — For almost a year, husband and wife Bhavna and Vishal Ajwani of Fanwood struggled to find what they believed to be quality childcare in the area and an environment where the boys were actually excited to go to.

On top of that both parents work in the city and with two small children at ages 1 and 5, it was difficult to find a place to compliment their long hours.

They decided to open their own childcare center — Lightbridge Academy this fall in their hometown of Fanwood.

“We did a lot of research and looked at a lot of different options before deciding to go with Lightbridge. The biggest part of our decision was that Lightbridge Academy was not just a day care but an educational childcare program,” Vishal said. “It delivers the highest quality educational experience and in multiple areas of child development.”

“Being a mom of two young boys and a physical therapist by profession, I had a very good comprehension of child development,” said Bhavna. “When I looked at Lightbridge I was very intrigued by their child development approach.”

The Ajwani’s wanted to stay local and serve their own community so they were very happy when they found their location on South Avenue in Fanwood.

As parents who worked in New York City, the Ajwani’s biggest goal was to be offer a true solution for working parents.

“We have operating hours that are out of the norm,” Vishal said. “We open at 6:45 a.m. and close at 6:30 p.m. for commuters coming to and from the city… We also are open most holidays and never close for an entire week. We are open the majority of the year.”

The academy is set to open in the fall but registration is already open for infant, toddler, preschool and pre-k programs. Parents can call 908-322-2277 or visit the website HERE to learn more about the academy or set up a tour of the facility.
