Diamond Foods Inc. (DMND) Climbed To A 6-Week High On Q3 Results

Diamond Foods Inc. (DMND) reported third quarter adjusted EPS of $0.23 after the bell Thursday, compared to $0.11 in the prior year period. Analysts expected EPS of $0.15. Full year adjusted EPS is expected to be between $1.10 and $1.10, compared to prior expectations of $0.95 to $1.10. The consensus estimate is for EPS of $1.04.

Diamond Foods gapped up sharply Friday and climbed further during the second half of the morning. The stock closed higher by 2.14 at $31.11 on strong volume. Diamond Foods broke out to a 6-week high and re-crossed its 50-day moving average.
