Moto 360 news: the best apps to use with this smartwatch

(Motorola)Moto 360

The Moto 360 won the title of the Best Android Wear smartwatch last year. And despite being released a year ago, it manages to hold on to that title as recent updates have remarkably improved the smartwatch. Since its release, a number of popular apps have also been developed for the device and to give users an easier time, here are some of the best apps for the Moto 360.

Wear App Manager

This is a useful app to have if users want to manage all the apps they have downloaded to their smartwatch. Aside from being easy to use, it also makes the task of locating apps quicker.

Facer

This app has a dual function and can be used to create a number of watch faces. These can be used for either digital or analog devices and if needed, users can even download and install watch faces created by others.

Android Wear Mini Launcher

When there is a need to launch an Android Wear app silently, the Wear Mini Launcher comes in handy. Once installed, the user just needs to swipe inwards from the edge of the watch body to get the app up and running.

Slumber

This app is useful when the charging screen of a Moto 360 has to be switched off. Once this is installed, it will replace the default image with a blank version, which eradicates the problem of the charging image burning the screen.

Wear battery status

Just like other smartwatches, the Moto 360 also faces a battery problem. To resolve the problem about its battery not lasting throughout the day, the user can install the Wear battery status app to closely follow and track the power usage of each app.

Torque integrated with Bing Voice Assistant

With Torque installed on the Moto 360, users can just turn their wrist to use the app and search using the Bing search engine through its Voice Assistant feature. However, those who do not want to use their voice to initiate the search can also type in the query.
